Preparing Vulnerable Populations

Do you or a loved one who reside in Doddridge County have challenges physically, cognitively, or financially that would make responding, evacuating, sheltering in place, or rebounding from an emergency difficult or impossible? Doddridge County Health Department and Doddridge County Office of Emergency Management need to know. If you think this applies to you or a loved one, please take our Vulnerable Population Survey either online at the link below. You can also reach out to us in the office to do the survey over the phone or request paper copy be mailed to you.

Volunteers!

Disasters and emergencies happen, and when they do communities rely on each other for helping hands to get the work of response, recovery and repair done. The Health Department is responsible for maintaining a list of individuals who are willing to respond to threats and disasters in our community. These volunteers are required to be credentialed and trained according to state law in order to assure safety of our citizens during a response. The Health Department partners with other organizations to ensure volunteers are trained and provides outreach during response efforts to help facilitate logistics and staffing efforts. If you are willing to volunteer please take a moment to register with WV REDI. Once you do you will be included in drills, trainings and receive calls for response efforts.
